Here’s a few things to consider when wondering if you need additional photography coverage:
How many hours of photography coverage do you want? If you want getting ready photos, first look, photos with the bridal party, etc, you might want to purchase the package with the longest coverage (between 10 – 12 hours). Maybe you don’t want all of those photos, so you choose the 6 hour package. The more photos you want from your day (I already know I want a ton hahaha), the more work your photographer will be doing. A second photographer guarantees they will have time to get all of the photos you’d like 🙂
Different perspectives – Your main photographer will capture all those special moments, but let me tell you – there isn’t ONE right angle for a photo. Different composition can evoke a whole new emotion in a photo.
Speeds up wedding day timeline – this allows for extra time to spend with your spouse and guests. Wedding days can be chaotic, and the last thing you want to be doing is spending a huge chunk of your time taking photos and not with your guests celebrating.
More time to capture those must have shots! – It’s like having one person in two places. Your main photographer can ask the second photographer to take shots that might be happening simultaneously as to the shots they are tying to get i.e. bridal and groom party getting ready photos, detail shots (venue, invites, rings), extra guest shots.
