Bonsoir everyone! Giselle and Leon got married in the Chinese Gardens here in Sydney on Friday afternoon. When we first caught up with Giselle, I asked her why she chose the Chinese Gardens. Being Chinese myself, I haven’t stepped foot into the Gardens until about 6 weeks ago when we did a quick run thru with the happy couple. Ella on the other hand, knows her way in there with her eyes closed. Back in her uni days, she did some work the Chinese Gardens… so yet again, Ella was there to save the day (remember she had expert local knowledge of our last wedding shoot) and give me some idea as to what to expect. My first impressions was WOW, who knew that ‘thing’ which has been there for ever was actually so lovely on the inside! I can so see why Shrek wanted to have her wedding ceremony there too! Well picked Giselle + Leon!
And so the day finally came… looking at the pictures, you really wouldn’t know that Giselle and Leon are actually expecting their first child. And even though Giselle is 7.5 months pregnant, she was happy to do whatever was required, brisk walk, bounce…you name it. Hat’s off to her for making it easy for me again… we had another picture perfect winter’s afternoon…blue skies and patchy white clouds! What more could you ask for… you can smell the first signs of Spring on our doorstep though. The days are just a tad longer and trees which have shed their cover for winter are beginning to show signs of new life!
Happy wedding day guys! Have fun on your honeymoon in Brissy. Am sure you guys are still partying on at this moment! And oh, in answer to my question as to why Giselle chose the Chinese Gardens: “I always wanted to get married in the Chinese Gardens… it’s my most favourite place!” I can totally see why!
